What is NBR?
The Network of Biostatisticians for RECOVER (NBR) is a nation-wide consortium dedicated to advancing the biostatistical analysis of data from RECOVER’s observational cohorts.
Our unique, distributed model embeds biostatistics nodes within RECOVER hubs, sites, and cores across the country, ensuring that expertise is deeply integrated into the research process.
Each of our nodes is led by PhD-level biostatisticians, who hold primary appointments at their respective RECOVER institutions. These leaders bring a diverse array of statistical methodologies and extensive data coordination expertise, ensuring that our network is well-equipped to tackle the complex challenges presented by the RECOVER initiative.
Together, we aim to provide rigorous, innovative biostatistical support to accelerate understanding of the long-term effects of COVID-19.
What are our goals?
Learn and engage on study design and complex data considerations unique to RECOVER while supporting manuscript completion.
Establish best practices for RECOVER observational cohort statistical analyses, develop associated SOPs for principal definitions, and distribute open-source code and training materials.
